ABOUT THE VENUE

Malmö University was founded in 1998 and is a young, modern and international university. It has about 24 000 students and offers undergraduate as well as postgraduate education. Its mission is to be an active hub for research, education and innovation benefitting a global society. The activities of Malmö University are centred on the major global challenges of today and the ambition is to be a university open to the world. Hence, the research is often multidisciplinary and is frequently pursued in collaboration with partners from outside the university. About a third of the first year students have an international background and the goal is to create a truly international study environment. Located in the centre of the city, the university has played an important role in the tTansformation of Malmö from an industrial town to a centre of learning.

The university is organized into five faculties:

Faculty of Culture and Society

Faculty of Education and Society

Faculty of Health and Society

Faculty of Odontology

Faculty of Technology and Society

The conference will take place in our newest building Niagara.  The building is close by the exit from Malmö Central Station and 5–10 minutes’ walk from the conference hotels and from the City Hall, where the City has invited to a dinner.

Niagara have modern facilities for research and education and are a meeting place for students, teachers and college partners. This is where the town meets the college and the building strengthened the University's location in the heart of the city and as a part of the city. Niagara consists of three separate buildings linked together by a bright, open atrium. The atrium spans through the lower floors and creates a city environment inside the building with restaurant, café, meeting places and a classroom. Other parts of the house consists of stimulating learning environments for students, researchers and teachers.
