Mackmyra Whisky is a Swedish single malt whisky distillery. It is named after the village and manor of Mackmyra, where the first distillery was established, in the residential district of Valbo, south-west of Gävle. Mackmyra's history started in 1998 at a Swedish winter resort, where eight friends from the Royal Institute of Technology met up for a ski trip. The first limited edition single malt whisky, Preludium 01, launched in February 2006 and sold-out in less than 20 minutes.
In Mackmyra Whisky Village, just outside Gävle, you will find the distillery, forest warehouse, and visitor center with restaurant.

Old Gefle is an area in central Gävle that was supposed to be torn down in the 1950's along with the rest of the south part of the inner city. Instead of being replaced with modern buildings the area was preserved for cultural reasons.
The buildings and the narrow and windling streets date back to the 17th century. While similar neighbourhoods in Sweden are museums designed to look like old towns and to which old buildings have been moved, Old Gefle is authentic.
We will do a walking excursion through the alleys of this part of town. Along the way, we will talk about cobbled streets and green areas, medieval remains and contemporary renovations, artists, murderers and martyrs. Learn a little about the history of Gävle.

The conference Welcome ceremony – will be held at Gävle Concert Hall. Beautifully located in Gavle, venue for diverse musical experiences - from the Gävle Symphony Orchestra to choral music and rock bands.
The Concert Hall was designed by architect Bo Karlberg and was inaugurated in January 1998, on the site where the bathhouse Strömbadet previous low. Home also to the Gävle Symphony Orchestra.
During the evening we are invited to refreshments and music entertainment.

On December 25, 1893 delivered gas to Gävle residents for the first time from the new gas works. The small gasometer was completed at the Atlas region. It was supplemented five years later with a large gasometer.
In the 1980s, "rediscovered" the area and the Folk Theater Gävleborg started playing theater in gasometers. Many will remember great Swedish artists and concert arrangements in the area during those years. In 1998 the municipality bought back area.
Tuesday evening on the 21st of August, you are invited to attend the gala dinner of the conference at Gasklockorna in Gävle. Gasklockorna is situated in a beautiful area next to the sea. We eat a three-course dinner with good wines. The entertainment offered includes music with hits that we all can recognize. Bus will take us from the city centre to Gasklockorna.
Bustransportation to and from the venue, 3-course dinner and 2 glasses of wine is included in the price.
