Welcome to the Nordic Staff mobility Conference 2018 in Lund

The Nordic Staff Mobility Conference will gather human resources professionals from the Nordic Universities to discuss current issues dealing with staff mobility and internationalisation. The conference also aims at increasing Nordic cooperation between the Universities.
The theme for this year’s conference is- “Gearing up for the Nordic Brain Gain”

Researcher mobility is the core activity of Euraxess. The changing situation within the EU and in the USA is very likely to affect where researchers choose to conduct their research and/or what research collaborations are set up, i.e. researcher mobility. In this area, the Nordic countries must pool their strengths to be competitive in attracting researchers. Compared to many other regions in the world, the Scandinavian countries stand out as a safe haven. For Scandinavia, the world situation represents an opportunity to achieve the ‘brain gain’ we need.
