New dates for the SVEBI Conference: 14–15 June 2022!

Instead of taking place in February 2022 the annual SVEBI conference will be organized, on site in Malmö, 14–15 June 2022. The conference is organized by the Department of Sport Sciences, Malmö University together with the Center of Research on Welfare Health and Sport, Halmstad University.

The main theme of the conference is Sport in a changing world, a theme that will open up for presentations, discussions and conversations on sport in relation to challenges and trends in today's society. The content of the conference will be linked to the main theme, and the various sessions will focus on (but are not limited to) the following areas:
Sport and the pandemic
Sport and sustainability
Sport, gender, and integration
Elite sports, and dual careers
Physical education and health
Sport and good governance
Sport digitalization and technology

As a step towards increased internationalization, all keynotes and one conference track will be in English during the two days. Additionally, we have the pleasure to offer two half-day packages, aimed for representatives from sports organizations and PE teachers:

Tuesday 14 June, AM: Half day program – specifically interesting for representatives from sports organizations. Main topic: Elite sports, and dual careers.

Wednesday 15 June, AM: Half day program – specifically interesting for PE teachers. Main topic: Physical education and health in a changing world.

The day before the conference, on Monday 13 June, a variety of activities will be arranged, including a doctoral student seminar, a friluftsliv research seminar and additional meetings.
