It is easy to relax in Malmö. The city offers a wide variety of musical stages, athletic venues, popular galleries and a wide range of nightclubs, pubs and restaurants. The attractive pedestrian precincts in the city are full of exciting concept stores and shopping centres, and 3 minutes by train from Malmö Central Station is Emporia – the largest shopping centre in Scandinavia. The urban beach Ribersborg is for those who enjoy the beach and exercise trails. And just outside Malmö you can find many of Sweden’s best golf courses.

Train & Bus
Train - If you are travelling by train, it is easy to travel the purple ‘Pågatåget’ via the City Tunnel towards Triangeln if you want to go to the southern parts of Malmö and the Faculty of Odontology or the Faculty of Health and Society. You can find all destinations on the Skånetrafiken website. It is a 20-minute train ride from Malmö should you need to get to Copenhagen Airport. Buy your ticket before you embark, it is the same type of ticket as on the city buses. A bus will take you to Malmö Airport just as conveniently from Malmö central railway station. Bus rides to Malmö Airport however can be purchased with charge/debit cards on the bus.
Bus - You can easily get around Malmö by bus or train. Visit Skånetrafiken's website for information on public transport. To travel by bus from Malmö Central station to Malmö University (two stops) take line 5 towards Västra hamnen or line 3 (ring line) via Västra hamnen and get off at either Anna Linds plats or Orkanen. To travel by bus to the Faculty of Odontology or to the Faculty of Health and Society take line 5 or line 2 via Gustav Adolfs torg.
Walkways and bike lanes
Pedestrian walkways and bike lanes stretch through the centre of Malmö and its parks. Cycling is a fantastic way to get around the city and also to experience and see Malmö. You can hire bicycles here: Malmö by bike
Malmö is Sweden’s third largest city, it is ranked fourth on the Forbes most innovative cities chart and it is the seventh most bicycle-friendly location in the world, but this is why we think it should be your first choice as a place to study.
Parking
There is ample parking at adjacent multi-storey car parks or on streets in the immediate surrounding area. There are parking charges in all cases, approx. SEK 20–25/hr.
