From 1 July 2015 until 30 June 2016, Sweden is chairing the EUREKA network. The chairmanship year will focus on three main priorities. Turning 30 years old, it is time to review the role of ERUEKA in the future, not only within the European Research Area, ERA, but also globally. Reviewing the role of EUREKA has to go hand in hand with a review of its organisation and its tools for cooperation.

EUREKA is a network of international industrial collaborations focusing on close to market research, technological development and innovation. Since its start in 1985, the goal has been to strengthen the competitiveness of European industry on the world market and to create partnerships between companies and researchers in the more than 40 member states and the three associated countries (Canada, South Africa and South Korea). EUREKA projects bring together both small and large companies, academia and public authorities from at least two member countries.
