Parallel sessions

Here you’ll find information about our parallel sessions that are held day two. You choose what session you want to attend on site.

Developing a BIM process for ship design

Timo Raunio, Meyer Turku, shows how BIM processes can be utilised in Ship design. He explores the major challenges of moving from traditional CAD to a collaborative BIM process, how overcome them and how to benefit from the best parts of BIM.

Landscape at Symetri

Caroline Dickson and Matthijs Lotter Homan, Symetri, show the Landscaping possibilities in both Naviate for Civil 3D and Naviate for Revit and answer when to use which program and how to communicate between them.

BIM For Infrastructure

Thomas Nilsson, Symetri, and Daniel Alderholm, Loxia Group, show how Naviate Infrastructure can be used in a BIM environment.

Autodesk Infrastructure: Now and the Future

Peter Ingels, Autodesk, shows the news in the Autodesk Infrastructure Portfolio and what’s in the pipeline for the future.

Good VR – how do we achieve it?

Martin Saldert, Symetri, shows the different aspects of how to achieve good VR. He explores the important parts of real-time rendering as well as Twinmotion and how to create good looking VR from Revit.

Let robots build your models

Maximilian Trommer, Rebartek, tells the story about founding the company Rebartek, from the first idea to robotic production of reinforcement cages. The whole company and its vision revolves around the rebar-model. He also introduces different approaches of letting robots built your models.

Naviate Infrastructure Portfolio

Caroline Dickson and Thomas Nilsson, Symetri, show the latest developments in Naviate Infrastructure and how the solution can assist in different projects to enhance workflows and save valuable time.

BIM360 and BEYOND

Skanska show their current work in BIM360, and promise to teach you things you never thought possible.

Document Management IRL

To have an uninterrupted dataflow is the key to fast and efficient document management. Tommy Axelsten Stjärngren, Symetri, and Björn Lindquist, Ramböll, show how Ramböll automate processes by structuring their metadata, saving valuable time in their projects.
Presentation will be held in Swedish.

“Digital Twinning = Digital Winning” – the rules of the reality economy

In the future reality capture economy, digital is king.
During this presentation, held by Paul Burrows, you will learn about various aspects of the BIM Field Trip from Leica Geosystems. You’ll be guided through the amazing variety of Reality Capture technology and learn how you can build your own innately intelligent digital reality supported by edge-computing and AI-enhanced software solutions.

What is BIMTypeCode?

BIMTypeCode is a simple and logical coding structure for building components based on the consultants design requirements, experience and best practice from complex and manageable BIM Projects. In this presentation Shilan Bahmani, AIX Arkitekter, Filip Westin, C.F. Møller Architects and Kristian Kvistgaard, Cedervall arkitekter present the working group BIM Stockholm and the collaboration behind the internationally applicable BIMTypeCode. Learn the history of creating a type code, how it is structured and the thoughts behind the uses of type coding.

BIM from the early stages to facility management

Henrik Antonson and Andreas Johansson, Zynka BIM, show how BIM can be implemented in all stages of a project, from the first idea to facility management. Presentation will be held in Swedish.

Spacemaker – Enabler of Collaboration

Technology is changing the building industries faster than ever before and Spacemaker is one of the pioneers of using big data, artificial intelligence and machine learning to create better projects. Arne Folkestad Bjelland shows how Spacemaker enables collaboration by inviting all stakeholders to actively engage in the project development.

BIMeye and BIM360 in design

Johannes Ris presents how Tikab managed to deliver high-quality projects thanks to the building owner Vasakronan, by avoiding manual file exchanges with cloud-based collaboration in BIMeye and BIM 360.

INDUSTRY 4.0

The biggest revolution in the architecture and construction industry has arrived disguised as a network of different technologies. Angie Arroyo presents a-lab’s strategy to understand and implement this new challenges and opportunities.

BIM 360 an open platform for the whole project

Instead of working in silo-divided systems, BIM 360 gathers all the project's workflow from design to execution, across an open data platform. Palle Bisgaard, Future Group presents how designers can easily exchange project material, manage project review and understand different versions, and how consultant can carry out technical site inspection and budget control.

3D Reinforcement in the Slussen Project

To adapt to modern demands the City of Stockholm has undertaken one of the largest urban transformation projects in Sweden - The Slussen Project. Listen to Daniel Sörman, ELU, Anders Stenvall, Skanska and David Möller, Sweco, discuss how they’ve worked with 3D reinforcement in the Slussen Project, from their different perspectives as structural designer, contractor and customer.

Software enhancing architects processes

Detail Group is an cross-disciplinary architectural office, active in sustainable urban development at all stages of the industry. Through analytical perspectives and technical parameters the architectural lines are set for each project. Catch up on how Detail Group work from vision to execution with Haval Murad and David Martinez Escobar.

BIM implementation at Keflavik International Airport

For the past four years Keflavík International Airport in Iceland has gone through a digitalisation journey. In a market that had fallen behind in the implementation and use of BIM workflows Keflavik international airport had a great challenge in front of them. BIM360 has been a key element in the overall strategy and success of the BIM implementation at Keflavik international airport. In this talk Johannes Bjarni Bjarnason shows how BIM360 & reality capture played a great part in the success of the BIM implementation at Keflavik International airport.

Efficient Design Review

During 2017 the organisation BEAst in collaboration with NCC, Skanska, Veidekke, Peab and JM developed a new Swedish standard for the Design Review Process. Listen to Ulf Larsson, Chairman of BEAst, share the background, purpose and function of the standard, as well as learnings from real world implementation.
Presentation will be held in Swedish.
