How to get here

You can reach Stockholm by train from almost anywhere in the country thanks to Sweden´s national rail service SJ.  Stockholm is also served by two airports - Stockholm Bromma Airport (BMA) and Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN).

  • The express train Arlanda Express - takes 20 minutes from Arlanda to Stockholm Central, while the commuter train takes 38 minutes.
  • Airport shuttle buss - called Flygbussarna - run between the central parts of Stockholm and both airports.
  • Taxis are available to and from both airports, with services offered by serveral taxi firms preferably Taxi Stockholm, TaxiKurir or Taxi020, that all offers fixed prices to and from the airports.

 

How to get around

Stockholm´s public transport - run by SL - is accessible and user-friendly. All buses have floor-level access and you will find platforms at the same level at nearly all of the 100 metro stations.

You can travel easily within Stockholm and its surburbs by metro/subway, bus, commuter train, tram or boat. Buy single journey tickets or visitor tickets/travel cards valid for 24 hours up to 7 days. Tickets are valid for all forms of public transport. If you want to buy a single journey ticket (valid for 75 minutes) you can easily pay as you go with your card (American Express, Mastercard or Visa) or buy your ticket with the SL-app. Visit the SL website for up-to-date prices and more ticket information.

Eat & Drink
There are a lot of things to do in Stockholm. The city has a vibrant restaurant scene in which Michelin-starred restaurants mingle with more casual but equally delicious options. Make sure you try a Swedish Fika in one of the city's excellent cafés.
