Practical information

Accreditation

The venue is accessible only to accredited delegates with an accreditation badge. You will be able to collect your accreditation badge at the registration desk set up at the entrance hall of the venue before the morning session, between 8 am and 9 am, May 9th. To collect the badge, an ID or passport will be needed. Please be aware that it is likely to be busy at the desk, so please try to come early. During the event, the badge must be worn visibly. Even if you leave the venue temporarily, you will need to show your badge to be readmitted.

Badges will only be issued to delegates who have successfully completed the registration procedure under the tab “Registration” up to the right and can show a valid ID upon arrival at the venue.

Please note that the meeting is reserved only for CMOs, CNOs, and CDOs (or equal) – which means no more than three attendees in total per country (i.e only the CMO, CNO, and CDO or equal positions of your country).

Included as part of the program

  • Transport
    The National Board of Health and Welfare will provide transportation from the Conference venue to the study visit on May 9th.
  • Meals
    The National Board of Health and Welfare will provide the meals and coffee breaks that are part of the program, as well as the Gala dinner on May 9th

Currency, credit cards
and money in Sweden

The currency for Sweden is Swedish Krona, not the Euro. It is often said to be the most cashless country on the planet. Major credit cards (some restrictions may apply to American Express) are widely accepted throughout Sweden at hotels, stores, restaurants, taxis, and rail tickets.

Language and some common Swedish phrases to know

Swedish is the national language, many Swedes are multilingual. Most of the population in Sweden are fluent in English. Here are the basics;

Health Insurance Card

It is a good idea to bring your European Health Insurance Card. The card gives you access to medically necessary, state-provided healthcare during a temporary stay in any of the 27 EU countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland or the United Kingdom under the same conditions and at the same cost as people insured in that country.

How to get to Stockholm

Delegates will be responsible for organising their own transport to and from Stockholm.

Stockholm is served by two airports; Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) and Bromma Stockholm Airport (BMA).

From Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) you will get to Stockholm City Centre by:

  • The express train Arlanda Express - takes 20 minutes from Arlanda to Stockholm Central, while the commuter train takes 38 minutes.
  • Airport shuttle buss - called Flygbussarna - run between the central parts of Stockholm and the airport.
  • Taxis are available to and from Arlanda Airport, with services offered by serveral taxi firms preferably Taxi Stockholm, TaxiKurir or Taxi020, that all offers fixed prices to and from the airport.

From Bromma Stockholm Airport (BMA) you will get to Stockholm City Centre by:

  • Airport shuttle buss - called Flygbussarna - The trip to Stockholm C (City Terminal) takes about 20 minutes.
  • Taxis are available to and from Bromma Airport, with services offered by serveral taxi firms preferably Taxi Stockholm, TaxiKurir or Taxi020, that all offers fixed prices to and from the airport.

How to get around Stockholm

The National Board of Health and Welfare will provide transportation from the Conference venue to the study visit.

Stockholm´s public transport - run by SL - is accessible and user-friendly. All buses have floor-level access and you will find platforms at the same level at nearly all of the 100 metro stations.

You can travel easily within Stockholm and its surburbs by metro/subway, bus, commuter train, tram or boat. Buy single journey tickets or visitor tickets/travel cards valid for 24 hours up to 7 days. Tickets are valid for all forms of public transport. If you want to buy a single journey ticket (valid for 75 minutes) you can easily pay as you go with your card (American Express, Mastercard or Visa) or buy your ticket with the SL-app. Visit the SL website for up-to-date prices and more ticket information.
The app is available in Swedish and English, you can download the app for free via the Google Play Store or the App Store.
