Johan Rockström

Professor Dr. 

Johan Rockström is an internationally recognized scientist on global sustainability issues. He is a leading scientist on global water resources, with more than 25 years experience in applied water research in tropical regions.

He also acts as an advisor for sustainable development issues at international meetings including the World Economic Forum, the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network and the UNFCCC. Professor Rockström chairs the advisory board for the EAT Foundation and the Earth League and has been appointed as chair of the Earth Commission. 

Nancy Gillis

Programme Head, Climate Action & First Movers Coalition, World Economic Forum

In her role as Programme Head, Climate Action & First Movers Coalition at the World Economic Forum, Nancy works with companies to harness their purchasing power and supply chains to spur the commercialization of innovative clean energy technologies that are key for tackling the climate crisis.

Prior Nancy Gillis was the CEO of the Global Electronics Council (GEC), a mission-driven non-profit that seeks to achieve a world of only sustainable technology. Nancy received her graduate degree in Information Technology from Georgetown University.

Ana Sarmiento

Project Director & Head of Department at RCS Global Group

Ana Sarmiento is the Head of RCS Global’s local assurance and impact scaling program, Better Mining. She has over 8 years of international experience in responsible sourcing and responsible mining systems development, with a focus on artisanal and small-scale mining (ASM).

ASM is one of the most critical risks in strategic raw materials value chains, often linked to child labour, human rights violations and OHS concerns. Ana was responsible for designing and developing the Better Mining Risk Framework and has worked extensively in developing risk management solutions tailored to ASM. Ana oversees the teams and the Better Mining work portfolio across Europe and Africa. 

Lord Adair Turner

Chairman of the Energy Transitions Commission

Lord Turner chairs the Energy Transitions Commission,a global coalition of major power and industrial companies, investors, environmental NGOs and experts working out achievable pathways to limit global warming to well below 2˚C by 2040 while stimulating economic development and social progress.
