Bergen is easily accessible from all over the world and when travelling to Bergen you have several options.

By plane

Airport Transfer

Bergen Light Rail (Bybanen)
The cheapest way to get from Bergen Airport Flesland to Bergen city center is to go by the City Light Rail (Bybanen). Departures are frequent, between 5-20 minutes intervals depending on day and time. It takes about 45 minutes from the airport to Bergen city center, and it costs NOK 40. If you have a Bergen Card* you can travel for free by the City Light Rail and all Skyss buses throughout Bergen and the region.

Airport bus (Flybussen)
A faster way to reach Bergen city center is by the Airport bus, which normally takes 30 minutes. The bus costs NOK 159 if you buy the tickets in advance online and with the Bergen Card* you get a 20 % discount. If you buy the tickets on the bus, it costs NOK 30 extra. The bus stops within short walking distance from the conference venue.

Taxi
The most direct way to get to your hotel is to take a taxi. A taxi from Bergen Airport Flesland to Bergen city center costs around NOK 400-500, but prices vary according to the time of day and the number of passengers. The taxis are parked just outside the arrival terminal, and it makes it easy to find a taxi that will take you exactly where you want.

By train

The Bergen Railway (called Bergensbanen) is the train between Oslo and Bergen and is Northern Europe's highest railway. The journey includes some of the most beautiful landscapes in Norway. There are four daily departures between Bergen and Oslo.

By ferry

There are ferry connections from both Denmark, Hirtshals (Fjordline) and several domestic destinations.
The terminal in Bergen is located on Nøstegaten 30, a ten-minute walk from the city center.
